Orchestra "Bella Fortuna Salzburg" as guest in Leitz Park

Free open-air concert

Summer in the Leitz Park will be heralded in a special way this year. Just in time for the start of the open-air season, the orchestra "Bella Fortuna Salzburg" will cast its musical spell on Tuesday, 31 May, from 12 to 1 p.m., not only on employees, but on anyone who wants to. Free of charge, in the middle of the grounds and with culinary accompaniment. To pamper not only ears but also stomachs during the lunch break, the Sattmacher Wetzlar will be on site with their snack van and will sell bratwursts, ice cream and drinks.

The young musicians are no strangers to Wetzlar. The students of the Mozarteum University and the pupils of the Rudolf Steiner School in Salzburg have been making music together as the "Bella Fortuna Salzburg" orchestra since 2019 and give their concerts not only in Austria but also in Germany - and again in Wetzlar. The focus of their work is social: many concerts take place in schools, hospitals and old people's homes. In 2020, the orchestra was part of the benefit concert in Wetzlar Cathedral, jointly organised by the Förderkreis der Lebenshilfe Wetzlar-Weilburg, the city of Wetzlar and the city marketing department, with Karin Rehn-Kaufmann, Art Director & Chief Representative Leica Galleries International, as patron.

On this year's trip to Wetzlar, the orchestra will give concerts at the Seniorenresidenz Wetzlar, the Friedrich Wilhelm-Raiffeisen-Schule and the Lebenshilfe Wetzlar-Weilburg. Before that, however, the musicians will visit Leica Welt and round off their experience with a workshop. We are looking forward to a varied programme through different stylistic eras, a joint lunch outdoors and numerous visitors.
